Cyprus is dealing with the credit crunch well and remains a good choice for foreign investors, according to an expert.
Property editor at BuyAssociation Paul Collins says the country is a popular location for those emigrating away from the UK.
He names "economic, political or even social turbulence" as the reasons behind many choosing to leave home.
Conditions back home "galvanise people's decisions", says the expert, encouraging them to move either permanently or to retire abroad.
Mr Collins adds: "Cyprus itself doesn’t get heated and suffer the same problem."
According to a recent survey conducted by NatWest International Personal Banking, Britons now feel more willing to integrate abroad in countries such as Spain, France, Portugal and Italy.
Cyprus did not feature in the top ten, yet figures from the Global Property Guide suggest the country to be seeing a sharp growth in its property market, with the past 18 months in particular being the main period of acceleration. |
