New A7 - Paphos to Polis Motorway

The Latchi / Polis district has been boosted by the announcement of a new motorway connecting the area to the A6 motorway at Paphos. This will greatly reduce the drive time to the airport and Paphos town and remove the travel distance as an obstacle for potential property owners. Whilst the motorway will make this picturesque area of Paphos more desirable and we are already seeing a sharp increase in prices, the increased demand for property will not dramatically affect the landscape has the strict building densities in this region are quite low.
The A7 will be the most expensive road project ever in Cyprus with a €447 million price tag. Plans include 3 tunnels, 7 bridges and 25 underpasses. Early signs are that the motorway will have 4 lanes until the village of Stroumpi and then 2 until Polis. The whole project is planned to take 4 years to complete.
