Low-cost airline flyglobespan has announced that it will begin a new scheduled service to Cyprus from April 1 this year.
With taxes included, flights between Stansted and Larnaca will be available from £74.99 per leg of the journey, and the airline's chairman Tom Dalrymple is confident that this will prove exceptionally popular.
"Cyprus offers some great resorts and temperatures that ensure a long and lively tourist season, and it is also home to some of the worlds greatest beaches" he said.
"I am pleased we can offer our customers in the Stansted area the chance to travel to Cyprus at such attractive fares."
The service will operate exclusively at the weekends for the first few months but from May 28 it will be expanded considerably. The Stansted to Larnaca route will then operate on six days of the week, as Wednesday becomes the only unavailable day.
Flyglobespan is primarily based in Glasgow and Edinburgh but the airline also operates flights from Aberdeen, Liverpool, Manchester, Durham Tees Valley and Belfast International |
